In June 2014, Grass River and its limited partners acquired a vacant 75,000 SF office building on a 4.9 acre site northwest of the Miami International Airport. The office building was converted to a 125-key Aloft hotel that opened in February 2017. A long-term hotel management with HEI was consummated. Two retail outparcels were introduced and leased to Pollo Tropical (ground lease) and Starbucks and Chipotle in a standalone tandem retail building. The retail was subsequently sold in a triple net transaction.
